Step Two - Starting Point

Do you have a financial road map? Consider this metaphor - If you are planning a cross-country trip, you'll most likely need a road map. The first thing you will probably do is locate where you are on the map - your starting point. if you live in San Diego, California and you are going to Richmond, Virginia, you are not going to start in New Orleans, Louisiana. You can indeed locate and trace

the directions from New Orleans to Richmond but how does that help you if you live in San Diego, California?

It is important to remove the mystery and get to the truth about where you are starting in your financial life. It is only at this point that you can take the first step toward your financial goal.

Similar to a road trip, it is so much easier and fun with a navigator who understands you, communicates well and can help keep you on track. Same with a financial adviser. Get help. Do not get help out of the yellow (or google) pages! Get a referral from someone you respect and is where you want to be. Getting help does not have to be expensive; however, not getting help can cost you your life (savings!)...
